FRESHWATER FISH
 Our
recently rebuilt tropical fish house contains close
to 200 tanks of freshwater fishes. Amongst these you
will find specialist areas offering many beautiful and
exotic species. Wildwoods Cichlid
department houses many tank bred and wild cichlids including
a large number of species from Lakes Malawi and Tanganyika
.
Central and South American cichlids are also catered
for including some of the most beautiful dwarf varieties
available. Our impressive

Fish
section has a variety of tank
bred fishes many of which are personally selected for
us in Thailand by World famous discus fish expert Eberhard
Shulze.
 Wildwoods
has always been especially strong on Oddballs –
those unusual, rarely seen or strange species of fish
that are often difficult to locate or are simply very
rare. Predatory and large species also feature for those
aquarists with specialist knowledge and very large tanks.

Many
new species of tropical fish continue to be discovered,
amongst them are the diverse and colourful members of
the loricariid family usually referred to as
L-Number

are generally imported by Wildwoods direct from South
America. This allows us to offer a vast selection of
these lovely catfish and to source many new species

Most of these species are farm raised fish and are imported
by us from the world’s leading producers. At any
one time you can find many thousands of fishes from

, Sri Lanka , United States and Malaysia . New varieties
appear frequently at Wildwoods, so there is always something
new to discover.
