MARINE FISH

Wildwoods marine department was established many years ago and now boasts a fine display of both fish and invertebrate aquariums. Our marine business is based on good service and advice; many of our customers have been with us for years. The vast majority of Wildwoods marine stock is supplied by The Tropical Marine Centre – Europe ’s largest wholesaler of marine livestock. Our tanks are re-stocked most weeks with top quality hand picked fish and inverts from around the globe.

Beginners are also well catered for at Wildwoods, our knowledgeable staff are used to dealing with first-time marine keepers and will help out with all aspects of the hobby. Many of the fish species that we offer are hardy types that are especially well suited to new tanks and novice marine customers.

Reef tank keepers are also well catered for, we keep a large ever-changing stock of invertebrates including many beautiful and colourful varieties of both hard and soft corals, shrimps, algae, anemones, crabs, starfish, urchins, sponges, clams, tube worms, polyps and lobsters.

Living rock is the mainstay of any good reef aquarium and is available to order in unopened boxes at competitive prices for home maturation. Alternatively, you can select individual pieces of pre-matured rock from our sales tanks. Fijian live rock is usually available at all times although African or Caribbean rock is occasionally imported too.

Many of the marine fishes and invertebrates sold at Wildwoods are captive bred or raised. Clown fishes are perhaps the most popular of these and we offer several different species. Dottybacks, gobies and various shrimps are all available from time to time. Home grown pulse polyp corals and ‘frags’ of various hard corals are regularly offered for sale and are tremendously popular.
