Tropical Plants

Most aquariums will benefit from the addition of live tropical plants; they enhance the overall appearance as well as having benefits to the running of the tank. Living plants will help create a well balanced eco system and aid natural filtration as well as helping to combat algae problems.

Aesthetically, well planted tanks always have the edge, and will give any aquarium the look of a natural environment.

 

 

 

Wildwoods Fish House contains a specialist section dedicated to tropical aquarium plants. The majority of our plants are ready potted for easy transplanting into your aquarium and are available in a range of sizes, from                                                                                                        3cm mini pots right up to fully grown ‘mother’ plants.

Most of our plants are grown on our own nursery by our sister company; Anglo Aquarium Plant Co. We also import many high quality and unusual species from our suppliers in the far East, including numerous sought after varieties of Anubias Cryptocoryne, Echinodorus and Microsorium. All at good prices too !

 To compliment our range of potted aquarium plants, we offer plants on bogwood. Carefully selected pieces of wood are planted with self clinging species such as Anubias, Microsorium or Vesicularia. Simply drop the wood into the desired position in the aquarium for instant cover.

Wildwoods now stock a full range of Planted Volcano Rocks. Pieces of attractive volcanic rock planted with two specimen tropical plants.

Position these around the aquarium to create a stunning effect.
